The Eastend Minor Hockey Association Annual General Meeting will take place on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. In advance of the meeting, members are encouraged to review the information below regarding a proposed amendment to the EMHA Policies and Procedures, the election and acclamation of Board members, current Board vacancies, and the Association bylaws governing voting procedures. Members attending the AGM will have the opportunity to participate in discussions, vote on eligible matters before the membership, and help shape the future direction of the Association.
Proposed Amendment to EMHA Policies and Procedures
Proposed Amendment to the EMHA Policies and Procedures, under either the Registration section (page 15, under (k)) OR the Playing Procedures section (page 19 – new subsection):
“Only players registered as goaltenders are eligible to play as goaltenders. If a team does not
have a registered goaltender, a registered player may serve as the team’s goaltender.
When a team has more than one goaltender, playing time must be shared equally—either by
splitting games evenly (50/50) or by alternating games (one game on, one game off). This
arrangement must be agreed upon at the start of the season in consultation with the
goaltenders, their parents, and the coaches.”
*This amendment proposed by an EMHA member requires a seconder from the floor at the meeting. If the motion is seconded, a vote by members will proceed.*
Election and/or Acclamation of New Board Members
All positions with one Nominee will be acclaimed. Vacant positions without a current Nominee are open to nominations from the floor.
